We are an established game studio based in the South East of England.

With a growing team of highly experienced developers, we focus on creating the exceptional and innovative games of the future. We’re currently working with a AAA publisher in the early stages of a major new project as well as our own IP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the art team strategically to deliver award winning AAA quality visual content. 
• Analyse the visual style and technical execution of games we are in competition with. 
• Develop and define creative art direction concepts. 
• Help translate art direction concepts into concrete actionable art goals. 
• Relentlessly raise the quality bar, demanding excellence from self and team. 
• Ensure the art team has the staff, techniques and tools they need to succeed. 
• Regularly review and provide feedback to art staff. 
• Work with directors, producers, and specialist art leads to proactively organise the art team. 
• Inspire, support and nurture the potential in the artists. 

Qualifications/Skills

• 8+ years of professional game development experience as an artist / senior artist. 
• 5+ years experience in a leading art role. 
• Shipped multiple titles with at least one deemed AAA. 
• Advanced skill with tools such as Max, Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Designer, and/or similar software. 
• Expert knowledge of cutting-edge game engines and game art production practices

• Ability to produce photorealistic art of exceptional quality. 
• In-depth understanding of art fundamentals. 
• A collaborative, process driven approach. 
• Creative flare and original thinking. 
• Understanding of contemporary aesthetics. 
• A strong understanding of current game technology and future ambitions. 
• Clear and concise written, verbal and visual communication. 
• Excellent time-management, and organizational skills.
