Senior Game Designer

We are an established game studio based in the South East of England.

With a growing team of highly experienced developers, we focus on creating the exceptional and innovative games of the future. We’re currently working with a AAA publisher in the early stages of a major new project as well as our own IP.

Responsibilities

• Own sections of the game experience and champion them to producers and the rest of the development team.
• Use Unreal Engine 5 to implement existing features to a final quality standard.
• Work with all disciplines to ensure that content meets the acceptance criteria and reaches the project goals.
• Mentor junior team members in good design methodology and process.

Qualifications/Skills

• Expert knowledge on Unreal Engine, especially working with instanced level actors.
• Experience owning design features and delivering them to final quality.
• Shipped at least one AAA 3rdperson character game to completion
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to details and dedication to producing quality work
• Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and meet strict deadlines

Required Experience

• Proven experience in shipping a AAA 3rd person character game.
• Proficiency in Unreal Editor
• Solid knowledge of game design principles
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with designers, artists, producers, and other programmers
• Experience leading a cross-disciplinary team in the delivery of high-quality features and content.
• Experience in mentoring more junior members of the team.

Bonus Skills

• Strong understanding of the CCCs of game design.
• Passion for cinematic experiences and storytelling
• Experience working professionally with game cameras and cinematics.
• Knowledge of 3rd person level design.
